Starting and building your family can be both an exciting and sometimes overwhelming experience. We offer paid leave for new parents to attend those important pre-natal appointments and time off after the birth of your baby. At PBPL, primary carers will be eligible for 14 weeks paid parental leave to be taken at the time of the birth or adoption and 38 hours of pre-natal leave, and secondary carers can access one week of paid parental leave and 7.6 hours of pre-natal leave.
As you near the end of your leave period, your return to work will be supported to ensure a smooth transition, including Keeping in Touch days.
FLEXIBLE WORK OPTIONS
We realise that everyone has different priorities and responsibilities at different times in their life, such as raising a family or planning for retirement. If you’re interested in exploring your options to get the balance right, we encourage you to discuss these with us.
PURCHASE EXTRA LEAVE
We understand that sometimes 4 weeks of annual leave isn’t enough time to take that holiday you’ve been dreaming about or spend time with your family. To help with this, you can purchase up to 6 weeks additional leave each year.
EXTRA LEAVE DAY
To show you our appreciation for all your hard work, you’ll receive one annual leave day at Christmas, on us.
EARLY ACCESS TO LONG SERVICE LEAVE
You don’t have to work 10 years at PBPL to access Long Service Leave. After 7 years of continuous service, you can apply for pro-rated Long Service leave.

We care about the health and wellbeing of our people. There are a range of options available to help you take care of your mental and physical health, including an annual health assessment, skin screening, flu vaccinations, healthy food options, discounted private health insurance premiums, fitness classes, lifestyle awareness sessions and a Quit Smoking Program.
