If you are travelling to and parking at the BICT, please note there is prepaid parking onsite with limited drive-up availability in Car Park 3 only. Car parking is managed by Wilson Parking.

GETTING TO THE BRISBANE INTERATIONAL CRUISE TERMINAL

The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal offers over 900 onsite paid car parking spaces across three car parks.
 
Car parking is operated by Wilson Parking.

There are no public transport connections to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal.  

Long and short-term paid car parking is available at the cruise terminal. You can also come by taxi or rideshare.  Visit the Car parking page for more information and a map of parking locations.

Typically, passengers will need to make their own arrangements if travelling between Brisbane Airport and the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, such as by taxi or rideshare.

However, we recommend you contact your cruise line directly for more information.

The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal does not provide a shuttle bus between the Brisbane CBD and the cruise terminal.  

We recommend contacting your cruise line about their pre-organised tours or services. You can also organise your own transport by private vehicle, taxi or rideshare.

There are no onsite car rental services at the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal. 

ARRIVING AND DEPARTING

Your cruise line will confirm the check-in process and what time to arrive. Each cruise line has its own process for embarkation (boarding), so the length of time this takes will vary for every cruise.

After checking-in you will proceed through security screening and, if on an international cruise, through immigration, before proceeding along the elevated walkway and onto your cruise ship.

No! The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal welcomes domestic and international cruise vessels that call in Brisbane.

TERMINAL FACILITIES

There are no storage lockers available at the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal.

When you arrive, you can check your luggage into the Baggage Drop, located in the Plaza Area near the main building entrance. Please do not leave any baggage unattended as it poses a security risk.

Yes, friends and family are welcome to see you off on your cruise however must remain in the public areas on the ground floor. There is a café that serves hot and cold drinks and light snacks as well as a gift shop located at the cruise terminal, open on cruise days.

All parking at the BICT must be booked in advance via the Wilson Parking website.

CUSTOMS, IMMIGRATION AND SECURITY 

All passengers, and their belongings, are required to go through security screening prior to boarding.

If needed, assistance can be provided for passengers with special requirements, including:
 
  • wheelchairs
 
  • mobility or walking aids
 
  • medical implants or artificial limbs
 
  • assistance animals
 
  • prams.

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a broad-based tax of 10% on most goods, services and other items sold or consumed in Australia.

A Tourist Refund Scheme is available at the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal. It is located in the Immigration area on level 1, near the entrance of the elevated passenger walkway. You will need to have a printed receipt of your purchase.

GENERAL PUBLIC ACCESS 

No - only passengers who have checked-in and passed through security and immigration requirements can board the cruise ship. All other visitors must remain in the public areas on the ground floor.

There is a café that serves hot and cold drinks and light snacks as well as a gift shop located at the cruise terminal, open on cruise days.

Unless you are dropping or collecting a passenger in the two-minute passenger set down area, you will need to pay for car parking while you stay. Car parking must be booked in advance.

If you would like to watch a cruise ship entering the mouth of the Brisbane River, we suggest vantage points at Nudgee Beach and Shorncliffe Pier.

The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal is only open to the public when there is a cruise ship berthed.

To see a naval ship entering the mouth of the Brisbane River, we suggest vantage points at Nudgee Beach and Shorncliffe Pier. 

Should we require external candidates to apply for specific roles, we will put information on our website in due course. If you are interested in employment opportunities with the cruise lines, you will need to contact them directly.

OTHER 

Luggage Point is located close to the Brisbane Airport, Kingsford-Smith Drive and the Gateway Motorway, ensuring excellent road connectivity to the region.

We have also worked very closely with key stakeholders, including our site neighbours, to address amenity concerns.

We have also developed a solution that has been proven to mitigate odour issues associated with the nearby waste water treatment facility, which will be deployed on days that ships call to Luggage Point and the wind conditions are unfavourable.
 

Luggage Point is the only site in Brisbane that can accommodate these larger cruise ships. It has naturally occurring deep water, enough space for them to ‘swing’ or turnaround, and does not have the same height restrictions for vessels as dictated by the bridges further upstream.
