This year’s Safety 1 Forum theme Advancing Safety, recognises that people are at the core of safety and explores how wellbeing, resilience and personal responsibility are essential to managing risks and creating safer workplaces for us all.

- Matt Hall – drawing on his experience as a former RAAF fighter pilot and safety leader, Matt will explore how individuals can make high-stakes decisions under pressure and how organisations can foster a culture of proactive risk management.
- Anton Guinea – A specialist in psychological safety and leadership, Anton will speak to the power of personal accountability and how leaders at all levels can create environments where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to speak up make a real safety difference.

Anton Guinea is a passionate advocate for psychological and physical safety in the workplace. His journey began with a near-fatal workplace incident that inspired his mission to help leaders create safer environments for their teams. Having experienced the impact of poor leadership firsthand, Anton pursued degrees in Human Resource Management and Psychological Science to understand what drives effective leadership. He now equips leaders with practical tools and powerful insights to lead with emotional control, especially under pressure.
Anton’s presentations are memorable, deeply personal, and delivered with warmth and infectious energy. He believes that leaders are the key to building psychologically safe organisations—because when leaders lead
with conscious control, they create spaces where people thrive.
