Port of Brisbane creating a positive impact with Foodbank Queensland

Thursday 6 November 2025

Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) has joined Foodbank Queensland as an ‘Impact Partner’, supporting its vital work providing food relief to Queenslanders in need.

The Port’s partnership will help provide 50,000 meals to the community over the next 12 months.

PBPL CEO Neil Stephens said becoming an Impact Partner builds on the Port’s longstanding relationship with Foodbank Queensland, which has included volunteering and sponsorship over the years.

“We know there are many people doing it tough right now and this is one way we can help support the Queensland community,” said PBPL CEO Neil Stephens.

“Our contribution as an Impact Partner will help Foodbank Queensland continue delivering essential services to those who need it most.

“The Port team will also be able to lend a hand, with a number of volunteering opportunities over the next 12 months.”

The new partnership kicked off earlier this week with the Port’s Property and Planning team spending the afternoon in Foodbank’s Brisbane Food Distribution Centre sorting, packing, and preparing food relief for Queenslanders in need.

An active member of the community, PBPL continues to support local organisations making a difference, including through its Community Grant Program.
