Port Central CAFÉ
The café offers a range of light meals and refreshments.
Located on the ground floor, 2 Port Central Avenue, Port of Brisbane (across the road from the Port Office)

Visitors Centre and Observation Deck (currently closed)
Our Visitors Centre provides an interactive educational experience for the community where you can explore how Australia’s largest and most diverse multi-cargo port operates. The Visitors Centre also includes interactive displays and a live feed to our shorebird roost.
The Observation Deck is located on Level 7 of the Port Office 3 Port Central Avenue Port of Brisbane, where visitors can enjoy a birds eye view over the Port and Moreton Bay.
Open from 8:30 am – 3:00pm.
Photographs at the port
The Port of Brisbane is a security regulated port and taking photographs in restricted port areas is not permitted. Restricted areas include waterside port operations like Patrick, DP World, AAT, Sunstate Cement, GrainCorp and QBH. If you would like to access these areas for photography or filming, you must approach the operator and seek their permission.
Photographing is only permitted in the following unrestricted areas:
Visitors Centre observation deck (level 7, Port Office) and Cafe, Port Central Avenue
Port of Brisbane Shorebird Roost, Lucinda Drive, Port of Brisbane
Whyte Island Boat Ramp, Port of Brisbane
We provide a range of port tour options from individual tours to group community tours. The Explorer tours are one-hour tours; however, our group community and school tours can be catered to meet your interests. On this fascinating one-hour bus tour you’ll see the daily activities of the port and learn from our tour guide how an efficient and sustainable port operates, as well as how we protect the environmental values of the area. Bookings are encouraged.
The bus departs the Port of Brisbane Port Office on Tuesday and Wednesday at 12.00pm (midday).

Our school group tours begin and finish at the Port of Brisbane Visitors Centre.
Your group can view our interactive display area before re-boarding your bus with a PBPL tour guide.
Your guide will take you on a tour to see towering cranes loading and unloading ships, trucks and trains moving cargo across the port, as well as the many products that move in and out of this busy port every day.
Suitability: Suitable for grades 3-12
Duration: 2 hours
Times: 09:00 to 15:00
No. of Students: Maximum one bus per session
Maximum of 65 students per session
Requirements: A microphone on the bus is helpful

Tours begin at the Port Office with a visit to the Observation Deck on our rooftop level to enjoy the spectacular view of the Port and surrounding Moreton Bay Islands and concludes with a driving tour of the Port. Tours must be pre-booked, and we recommend allowing a minimum of one and a half hours for your visit. Community tours are $190 per bus group, and can be booked on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Port of Brisbane Conference Facilities
Function spaces can accommodate up to 60 guests and includes six modern conference rooms, foyer, and outdoor area.
Away from the confines of the city, the Port Office offers ample free parking with open spaces for your group to relax and enjoy the unique surroundings. Events can be customised to suit all budgets and catering requirements.
