Port of Brisbane is proud to provide Port Tours for school*, community and industry groups who have an interest in learning more about one of Australia’s fastest growing container ports and the state’s largest multi cargo port.

EXPLORER TOURS

On this fascinating one-hour bus tour for small groups or individuals, you’ll see the daily activities of the port and learn from our tour guide how an efficient and sustainable port operates, as well as how we protect the environmental values of the area.

Explorer tours are held on the following dates during Queensland school holidays:

  • Tuesday 8 April 2025 
  • Tuesday 8 July 2025
  • Tuesday 23 September 2025

12:30pm departure from Port Office, 3 Port Central Ave, Port of Brisbane, bookings are essential. (Duration 60 minutes.)

$10 per adult, $8 concession and free for children under 16. 

SCHOOL, COMMUNITY & INDUSTRY TOURS

Tours begin at the Port Office with a visit to the Observation Deck on our rooftop level to enjoy the birds eye view of the Port and surrounding Moreton Bay Islands.

School Tours:                             Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday during school terms (subject to availability), 
                                                      bookings are essential. 
Duration:                                     90 minutes            

Community Group Tours:         Monday 10am, February – November                          
                                                      excluding school holidays. A fixed price fee of $190.00 applies; bookings are                                                                      essential.             
Duration:                                     90 minutes

Industry Tours:                          Please contact us, bookings are essential.

Port of Brisbane reserves the right to reschedule or cancel tours at short notice due to safety or other operational reasons.

*School includes primary, secondary and tertiary educational institutions.

PORT CENTRAL CAFÉ

The café offers a range of light café meals and refreshments. Located on the ground floor of Port Central 1, adjacent to Port Office.

Open: 7:30am – 2:00 pm   Monday – Friday excluding public holidays

PHOTOGRAPHS AT THE PORT

The Port of Brisbane is a security regulated port and taking photographs in restricted port areas is not permitted. Restricted areas include waterside port operations like Patrick, DP World, AAT, Sunstate Cement, GrainCorp and QBH. If you would like to access these areas for photography or filming, you must approach the operator and seek their permission.

Photographing is only permitted in the following unrestricted areas:

  • Visitors Centre observation deck (level 7, Port Office) and Cafe, Port Central Avenue
  • Port of Brisbane Shorebird Roost, Lucinda Drive, Port of Brisbane
  • Whyte Island Boat Ramp, Port of Brisbane
