Local Bayside community organisations including Making Waves Foundation, Volunteer Coast Guard Manly, Wynnum Community Place and Bayside United Soccer Club are among 11 recipients to receive a welcome funding boost from Port of Brisbane’s $100,000 Community Grants Program.
Every year since 2013, Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) has awarded $100,000 in grant funding to community organisations and registered charities, helping them deliver important initiatives across the local and regional area with a key focus on community, youth leadership, education and environment.
All recipients attended a reception at the Port to celebrate and share information about their work with Port of Brisbane CEO, Neil Stephens, and employees from across the business.
“At the Port of Brisbane, we’re committed to making a positive contribution to the environment and community in which we operate. We’re doing that through our $100,000 grants program, which is the cornerstone of the close to $400,000 that Port of Brisbane will invest in community partnerships this year.” said Mr Stephens.
“It’s great to see a real focus this year on supporting young people, through Bayside sporting clubs and Making Waves Foundation. We congratulate and thank all the grant recipients for the important work that they are doing”
