Port Drive Upgrade on track
Posted on Monday, 18 December 2017 (Archive on Monday, 18 June 2018)
PBPL’s $110 million Port Drive Upgrade project is progressing well and remains on track for mid-2018 completion, weather and site conditions permitting.
Work on Lucinda Drive Bridge is continuing at an accelerated pace, as is the construction of the on/off-ramps for the new overpass over the Kite Street roundabout.
Construction of the new shared path is underway and other work required to improve access to the Whyte Island boat ramp has also started, which will provide safer and more direct access for the community.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused to businesses and motorists, and thank you for your continued patience during the construction of this important project.
The project recently received an ‘Excellent’ rating for its design from the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia, and is targeting the same rating for ‘As Built’, which will be determined following practical completion.
