Operational notification #53: Port Drive Upgrade – Changed traffic conditions from 14 November 2017
Posted on Friday, 10 November 2017 (Archive on Thursday, 10 May 2018)
Due to wet weather and site conditions, Thursday’s proposed traffic change on Port Drive (see notification #51), will now be implemented on Tuesday 14 November 2017, weather and site conditions permitting.
In the event of wet weather, the traffic switch will be carried out on the next available night shift.
All southbound / outbound traffic will be diverted onto the permanent alignment on Port Drive between Tanker Street and the start of the Port of Brisbane Motorway at Export Street.
Northbound / inbound traffic will remain on the current alignment.
To make these changes, roadworks to move barriers and line mark the road will be carried out on the following days:
- Thursday 9 November between 8pm and 5am
- Saturday 11 November between 5am and 6pm
- Monday 13 November between 8pm and 5am.
For the safety of roadworkers and other road users, motorist are reminded to drive to the road conditions, obey signage and adhere to speed limits, particularly as vehicles enter the section of Port Drive construction where the speed limit has been reduced to 50km/h. Electronic VMS signs will be displayed on each approach and the Queensland Police Service (QPS) will be patrolling the area.
We thank all motorists for their patience while this work is underway.
