Business Management System (BMS)
We strive for a culture which is customer focused, commercially oriented and driven by a quality ethic. Our Business Management System (BMS) is a single integrated system used by PBPL to manage the many risks associated with operating the Port of Brisbane and underpinning our approach to managing risk from a quality and efficiency perspective.
An internal BMS team meets approximately every six to eight weeks to oversee and facilitate the management of the BMS.
Quality (QMS), Environmental (EMS), and Safety (OHS) management systems are combined and managed as the BMS, integrating related components of the business into one system, so that processes are seamlessly managed and executed without duplication. This approach encompasses people, safety precautions, health protection and awareness, injury prevention, damage control, emergency plans, environmental effects, quality work practices and activities which deliver on PBPL’s overall objectives and meet the expectations of our key stakeholders.
