In 2017 we launched our Target Zero strategy to guide effective resource management across PBPL’s main worksites (Port Office, Operations Base, Brisbane Multimodal Terminal and the TSHD Brisbane dredge vessel).
Target Zero aims to reduce our overall carbon footprint by 2030 by achieving the following targets:
Recent initiatives we’ve adopted to support this include:
-
progressive installation of solar panels on all PBPL-operated facilities buildings (currently 1055kW – the equivalent of 141 homes)
-
providing our compost bin waste to local environmental organisation, B4C, for use on its planting projects
-
participating in the Containers for Change initiative.
