Port of Brisbane’s 2021/22 Community Grant Program is now open, with a total of $100,000 available to support not-for-profit organisations and registered charities in South East Queensland.
Individual, eligible organisations are welcome to apply for grants of up to $15,000.
Since 2013, Port of Brisbane has provided approximately $800,000 in grant funding to 114 partners across the south east who are delivering important environmental and community initiatives.
Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) CEO, Roy Cummins, said the Port’s Grant Program was a major part of its engagement with the local community.
“We look forward to this time every year, when we connect with organisations and learn about the valuable work they’re doing in the community,” he said.
“During 2020/21, our community grants provided a vital funding boost to a wide range of organisations including Ocean Crusaders, Traction, Wynnum State School and Suited to Success.
“While the funding is important, we recognise that our business and our people can also give back in other ways.
“That’s why every year, our employees are each provided with two leave days which they can use to volunteer with our community partners and support initiatives funded by our grant program.
“To our current grant recipients – thank you for the wonderful work you’ve done this year and that you’ll continue to deliver across South East Queensland, and congratulations on many innovative initiatives that you’ve progressed.
“To those considering applying for a Port of Brisbane Community Grant – we’d love to hear from you and see how we could partner together.”
