Visitors

The Port of Brisbane Visitors Centre is located on the ground floor of the Port Office
and provides an interactive educational experience for the community. The Visitor Centre explores how the Port works, Australia’s export partners, and which countries Port of Brisbane imports goods from. The Visitors Centre also includes interactive displays of the Port’s dedicated migratory shorebird roost.

Port Tours

Port of Brisbane provides a range of port tour options, from individual tours to group community tours. The Explorer tours are one hour tours; however, our group community and school tours can be catered to meet your interests.

Explorer Tours 


On this fascinating bus tour, you’ll see the daily activities of the Port of Brisbane, and learn from your tour guide how an efficient and sustainable port operates, as well as how PBPL protects the environmental values of the area. Bookings are essential.

The bus departs the Port of Brisbane Port Office on Tuesday and Wednesday at 12.30pm.

  •      Adults $10

  •      Seniors and concessions $8 (on presentation of a valid ID card)

  •      Children (12 & under) $5

  •      Family (2 adults & 2 children) $27

School Tours

Our school group tours begin and finish at the Port of Brisbane Visitors Centre. 

Your group can view our interactive display area before re-boarding your bus with a PBPL tour guide.  
Your guide will take you on a tour to see towering cranes loading and unloading ships, trucks and trains moving cargo across the port, as well as the many products that move in and out of this busy port every day.

No. of Students:   Maximum one bus per session
Maximum of 65 students per session
Requirements:  A microphone on the bus is helpful

Community tours 

Tours begin at the Port Office with a guided tour of the Visitors Centre, and conclude with a driving tour of the port. Tours must be pre-booked and we recommend that you allow a minimum of one and a half hours for your visit. 

Community tours are $190 per tour group, and can be booked on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Café

Open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.00pm. Enjoy casual dining and fantastic views of the Port of Brisbane and Moreton Bay islands from the Café on Level 7 of the Port Office building. The daily menu has a selection of light meals, snacks, cake, coffee and cold drinks available.

Port of Brisbane Conference Facilities

The Visitors Centre offers a range of meeting spaces in the heart of the Port of Brisbane. Function spaces can accommodate up to 60 guests and includes six modern conference rooms, foyer, and outdoor area.
Away from the confines of the city, the Port Office offers ample free parking with open spaces for your group to relax and enjoy the unique surroundings. Events can be customised to suit all budgets and catering requirements.
