Port Precincts for Lease

There are several precincts of strategic port land located along the Brisbane River.

The Port of Brisbane suburb (including the area formerly known as Fisherman Islands) at the Brisbane River mouth is the primary location of port operations, with major facilities including wharfage areas, cargo-handling infrastructure, motor vehicle storage and processing, warehousing and storage areas, container parks, logistical centres, intermodal transport interchanges and our offices within the Port Central precinct.

Driving trade and business growth is our major focus and due to demand for port-related commercial and industrial development, additional port land is progressively being reclaimed in accordance with previous approvals. The area known as the ‘Future Port Expansion’ area (approx. 200ha) will be gradually filled over 10-30 years with materials obtained from maintenance and capital dredging projects.
