Dredging
Past Contracts
The Brisbane has completed a number of contract dredging projects outside of its regular annual maintenance dredging of north Queensland ports. These projects have included:
- Dredging the entrance to the Clarence River at Yamba where it removed around 40,000 cubic metres of material
- A beach replenishment project at Bribie Island in Queensland, depositing around 50,000 cubic metres of sand onto Woorim Beach
- Dredging of the access channel in Karumba, north Queensland, where it removed 300,000 cubic metres of material
- Maintenance dredging in Devonport in 2002 and 2005
- Maintenance dredging in Newcastle in 2005 to remove 150,000 cubic metres of sand at the entrance to the port
