Dredging

The Port of Brisbane requires regular maintenance dredging at a rate of 1 million cubic metres every year, and consequently we have become experts in maintenance and development dredging, and own a fleet of vessels to manage a wide range of dredging situations.

The flagship of our dredging fleet is the Brisbane, which joined the fleet in November 2000.  In addition to meeting our dredging requirements in Brisbane, the Brisbane spends up to five months of the year carrying out maintenance dredging contracts at Queensland ports.  We have also completed a dredging contracts for the Port of Devonport in Tasmania and Newcastle in New South Wales.
