Fishermen’s marina

An artist's impression only of what the planned public parking area next to the parkland may look like. The replacement of the fishermen’s jetties with a modern floating marina will commence in mid-May this year.

The programme will involve the demolition of the current jetties and rock wall, dredging of the berth area, replacement of the rock wall, installation of the new marina, and provision of car parking for the commercial fishermen.

During the construction of the new structure, the fishermen will be moored at the public jetty, which will be closed to the public during the construction period and reopened in October. Alternative public access is available via the queuing pontoon at the northern public boat ramp

The construction site will be fenced for safety reasons, and every effort will be made to minimise any disruptions to businesses, residents and visitors to the harbour.
