How to Obtain a Permit to Work from the Corporation

As of 1 July 2008, contractors and employees of the Port of Brisbane Corporation require a Permit to Work every time a 'specified high risk task' is performed at the port.

If a Permit to Work is required, you must provide the following forms:

  • Permit to Work (a form to obtain the Corporation’s authorisation to perform a 'specified high risk task')
  • relevant Control Forms (key safety requirements for each permit)
  • a risk assessment

All forms are provided below. Contractors can supply their company’s risk assessment or complete the PBC Contractor Risk Assessment Form. Employees are to use a PBC Work Activity Risk Assessment.

Please present the required documents to a PBC Authorised Person before starting work.
