Port Operations
Peter Keyte
General Manager Port Operations
Peter is responsible for improving shipping and landsdie services at the port, the operation of the BMT, port operations, and maritime security.
He is responsible for developing information technology and logistics solutions to improve the integrated movement of goods through the port and BMT and for ensuring the port’s security strategies satisfy international ISPS Code requirements, and regulations of the Maritime Transport Security Act 2003.
Alan Turner
Senior Manager Port Operations
Alan’s role is to promote the development of the BMT and its role in the growth of land bridge trade to customers and user groups, and introduce the most modern and efficient resources to ensure the BMT is operating at peak efficiency.
Alan joined the Corporation after 22 years with national New Zealand rail transportation company Tranz Rail. In his role as Tranz Rail National Account Manager, his principal focus was on the coordination of all inland transportation needs throughout New Zealand for shipping line clients, and achieving operational efficiencies for these clients by reducing the number of port calls required.
Andrew Rankine
Manager Logistics
Andrew is responsible for managing landside logistics and transport-related activities. He plays a key role in improving access to the port’s facilities as well as ensuring their productivity. His aim is to increase the efficient and effective movement of cargo through the Port of Brisbane and the Brisbane Multi-modal Terminal (BMT).
Andrew has extensive senior management experience in the road and rail transport industries.
Wayne Taratoa
Manager Security Services
Wayne manages all aspects of the Corporation’s security requirements. This includes both land and water-based activities within the port that are managed by the Corporation.
Wayne has more than 24 years' experience in the security industry and provided contracted services to the Corporation and Port industry for a period of 11 years before joining the Corporation in 2002. He played a key role in the development and implementation of the Corporation’s Maritime Security Plan.
Wayne is also a member of the International Association of Airport and Seaport Police.
Barry Martin
Manager Brisbane Multimodal Terminal (BMT)
Barry is responsible for managing the daily operational activities of the BMT, including track and time availability for rail services.
Rowena Routh
Manager Port Efficiency
Rowena is responsible for monitoring port capacity and productivity, and liaision with port customers to ensure that cargo moves through the port effectively and efficiently,
