Sponsorship Guidelines

If you would like the Corporation to consider supporting your activities, you will need to submit an application or proposal. Every year we receive hundreds of proposals and unfortunately we cannot meet all these needs. These guidelines are designed to enable us to best assist a broad cross-section of the community and trade-related organisations in a fair and equitable manner.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for support, an applicant must be a local community or regionally based organization.

Preferred activities:

  • Educational programmes or initiatives
  • Youth leadership programmes or initiatives aimed at giving young people opportunities for self-development and community service
  • Environmental improvements and environmental educational initiatives
  • Community welfare programmes or initiatives, including those that assist disadvantaged groups
  • Arts and cultural projects with a local community focus

Preference will be given to projects and initiatives which:

  • Benefit the wider local community
  • Reflect the Corporation’s business interests, target audiences, target markets, geographical area of operation and corporate values
  • Provide appropriate opportunities for recognition of the Corporation’s support
  • Provide the Corporation with opportunities to involve its staff members where appropriate
  • Provide value to the Corporation

Initiatives the Corporation will not support include:

  • Political activities
  • Individuals seeking support for personal projects
  • Activities of a hazardous nature
