The main port complex is located in the suburb, Port of Brisbane, at the mouth of the Brisbane River (south side of the river).

The Corporation’s headquarters is located at Port Office, 1 Sandpiper Avenue, Port of Brisbane.

The speed limit on all port roads is 60km/h.

Privately owned and operated wharves are located in the Pinkenba, Bulwer Island, Gibson Island and Bulimba reaches of the Brisbane River. The Multiplex owned and operated cruise terminal - Portside Wharf - is located in the Hamilton Reach of the river.
