Port West (formerly known as Clunies Flats) is a large area of vacant strategic port land located along the riverfront at Lytton approximately 6km from Port of Brisbane. Surcharge has been removed from Stage One area 22ha and placed on Stage Two area 16ha. Future development of the site is anticipated to be used primarily for the pre-delivery inspection, and medium and long-term storage, of motor vehicles. Studies into the future development of wharves along part of the estate are positive with the potential for up to three wharves over 0.9km of quay line.
