Port of Brisbane welcomes its largest ever cruise ship

The Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) welcomed the Radiance of the Seas, the largest ever cruise ship to visit Brisbane, on 17 October.

Measuring 293 metres in length and weighing 90,090 tonnes, the ship was required to dock at the Port of Brisbane’s Multi-user Terminal, as it was too large to dock at Portside Hamilton, or to turn safely in the Brisbane River.

The ship’s newly renovated interior can accommodate over 2,500 passengers, and includes twelve restaurants, a poolside cinema, theatre, mini golf course and basketball court.

PBPL Manager Trade Alan Turner presented the ship’s captain with a plaque to commemorate the visit.
