The Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) manages and develops Queensland’s largest general cargo port under a 99-year lease from the Queensland Government. PBPL is owned by Q Port Holdings, comprising four of the world’s largest and most experienced infrastructure investors.
PBPL is focused on driving trade and business growth by working with customers to deliver outstanding development outcomes, facilitating efficiencies and innovation, and striving to accommodate new opportunities.
PBPL is responsible for developing the port and related facilities, and for the provision of key services like maintaining navigable access to the port for commercial shipping, and the operation of the Brisbane Multimodal Terminal.
About the port
- Located in South East Queensland and strategically placed at the mouth of the Brisbane River, free from urban encroachment.
- One of Australia’s most diverse ports and Queensland’s largest general cargo port, with facilities for containers, general cargo, motor vehicles and bulk.
- Room to grow, with available port lands for both large and small developments, including the 90ha Port West estate and the 230ha future port expansion area.
- Over 35 shipping lines service the port, making over 2,400 calls each year.
- Up to five sailing days closer to Asia than the southern ports of Sydney and Melbourne.
What we offer
