Port Land

LUP2007

The Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 requires the Port of Brisbane Corporation to have a land use plan that facilitates the management and assessment of development on strategic port land. A land use plan divides port land into specific precincts and sets out the:

  • specific development intent
  • overall outcomes and principles; and
  • indicative land uses.

Following an extensive process in 2007, the Corporation has produced and received formal approval for the new Land Use Plan 2007 (LUP2007) (Adobe pdf 0.8MB).

Working with our Land Use Plan 2007 is our new Port Development Code 2007 (Adobe pdf 6.6MB) which guides physical form/operational aspects of development; and addresses the technical components of land use/site planning.

The Corporation received the 2007 Planning Institute of Australia (Qld Division) Industrial Planning "Award for Excellence" for these documents.
