The Port of Brisbane Corporation (PBC) is committed to making a positive contribution to the environment in which we operate. Our sponsorship program aims to assist local initiatives that reflect our organisational values.
A summary of our community support may be categorised as follows:
- education programs
- youth leadership programs or initiatives aimed at giving young people opportunities for self-development and community service
- environmental improvements and environmental educational initiatives
- community welfare programs or initiatives, including those that assist disadvantaged groups
- arts and cultural projects with a local community focus.
Please find below a list of criteria aimed at assisting you prepare a sponsorship proposal. Alternatively, you may download and complete the Sponsorship Request Form.
Criteria
- The initiative has a natural link to PBC's values: such as safety, valuing people, customer focused, commercially astute, deliver on our promise, sustainable outcomes and continuous improvement. For more information on PBC's values, click here.
- The initiative enables PBC to engage with the target audience (business customers include all companies and industry organisation that are part of the commodities logistics chain), government, environmental and community groups.
- The initiative must be relevant to the region in which PBC operates.
- The initiative provides a platform for PBC to promote its commitment to being socially and environmentally responsible.
- The initiative offers opportunities for PBC staff to be involved.
Initiatives PBC will not support include:
- political activities
- individuals seeking support for personal projects
- activities of a hazardous nature.
To be considered, proposals should include:
- description and objectives of the sponsorship initiative.
- a list of key benefits to the community and PBC.
- a profile of the audience (including audience reach).
- level of sponsorship sought (ie principal, co-sponsor) and how many other sponsors are being sort.
- timeline for the initiative.
- sponsorship amount requested or sponsorship options available including costs of each option.
- method of evaluating the success of the sponsorship.

If the sponsorship initiative is successful, PBC may request confirmation that the event has the necessary insurance (including Public Liability insurance) as required.
