Russell Smith Chief Executive Officer
Russell is an experienced port and transport executive with an engineering degree and an MBA specialising in strategic management. His initial career was spent in the engineering sector with a particular focus on the design and construction of port infrastructure works in Australasia and the UK. Following the completion of his MBA, he concentrated on the provision of business planning, management consulting and M&A advisory services for the port industry worldwide before moving into the direct acquisition of port assets to build one of Europe’s largest port holdings for Prime Infrastructure. Following this, he moved into an asset management role, with responsibility for Prime Infrastructure’s (recently acquired by Brookfield) global portfolio of transport assets.

Peter is responsible for improving shipping and landside services to the port, the operation of the BMT, emergency response and maritime security, trade development, marketing and communications, and health and safety.

Peter Nella Senior Manager Marine
Peter is responsible for the operation of the company’s dredging and survey operations, including
the maintenance of navigable access to the Port of Brisbane, capital dredging works associated with new berths
and upgraded channels, and the supply of dredging services to other port operators throughout Queensland.
Samad Momin General Manager Business Improvement
Samad is responsible for assessing areas in the company which have the potential for business improvement
using a broad range of improvement tools. His role is to strengthen organisational capabilities and
effectiveness and drive a customer-focused culture to help improve both revenue growth and operational
procedures.
