Inductions and Permits

All contractors working for, or on behalf of, the Port of Brisbane Corporation (PBC) are required to undertake a general induction once a year to ensure that they remain safe while working at the port and that their actions cause minimal impact on the environment.

Permits

How to obtain a Permit to Work from PBC

Contractors and employees of PBC require a Permit to Work every time a 'specified high risk task' is performed at the port.

To find out if the work you are completing requires a permit, please answer seven quick questions by clicking on the Permit to Work Questionnaire

If a Permit to Work is required, you must provide the following forms:

  • Permit to Work (a form to obtain PBC authorisation to perform a 'specified high risk task')
  • relevant Control Forms (key safety requirements for each permit)

A risk assessment

All forms are provided below. Contractors can supply their companys risk assessment or complete the PBC Contractor Risk Assessment Form. Employees are to use a PBC Work Activity Risk Assessment.

Please present the required documents to a PBC Authorised Person before starting work.
